Reviews about Trillium Health Partners - Mississauga Hospital
- ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪Absolutely useless emergency department staff. Firstly, there were roughly 55-60 people in the emergency room with only 1 nurse that was doing the initial write ups of each patient; while numerous people had to stand in line in an "emergency room" and listen to another staff member constantly remind everyone that exits are being blocked due to the growing lineup. The exits would not be blocked if an adequate amount of staff was working. I came in with an elderly individual who was suffering from breathing problems due to an allergic reaction from a prescribed drug. After waiting in line and then being questioned over 4 times on how the individual is feeling at the current moment, we were told by the nurse that the individual has nothing wrong with them - a clear sign that we are not on any priority lists to be seen by a doctor within a reasonable time frame. We did not receive any info as to when we could see a doctor, we only knew that it would be "sometime today" - again, this is all meanwhile the individual is having difficulty breathing. What kind of medical training must one receive in order to tell an individual who clearly has an issue breathing that there is nothing wrong with them? At which point would these staff actually consider a person to need emergency assistance? Clearly an allergic reaction with the potential to suffocate a person is not an emergency. It seems that an individual has to quite literally be on the brink of death in order for these staff members to lift a finger. It is very clear that these medical "professionals" do not care for anything other than swiping your OHIP card. Judging by the reviews made by others, it seems that these sub-par medical professionals have been disregarding patients in a similar way for the past while.by Alex TrofymenkoAugust 07, 2017
- ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪This is the worst hospital in Mississauga. I have been to the emergency department on three different occasions for three separate issues. On my second visit they had a medical student to attend to me. Not to mention the female Doctor Who misdiagnosed me stating I had appendicitis and needed surgery! In fact I just had a kidney stone pass through my system. The third time I went I waited for 6 hours just to get the results of my x-ray for my knee which I injured. The nurses there seem rude and snobby in all three occasions that I have been there. They do not update you not check in you to see how you are doing just out of basic human compassion and courtesy. I overheard a nurse belittling an old lady who wanted to go home. She said your not going anywhere and spoke to her like a child in a very rude manner. There were two other people waiting there along with me and it was not busy at the time. We all left without seeing the Doctor. What a joke. As much as people talk about the States I often wonder if this is how it is over there. I mean people have to pay for their health care so I would think the service is far better. I think the hospital staff mistreat pal because they know we are covered by OHIP and do not care. In their minds so are not dying so we should just go to the walk in clinic. This hospital needs to be seriously reviewed on their practices as the wait time is far too long. The nurse informed me that they only had one Doctor working and that is how the hospital operates. Just a heads up. Prepare to wait long if you are in need of care or treatment. Bring an overnight bag and a jacket as it is freezing in there. Can't stand Trillium.by Babiedwal1June 10, 2017
- ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪My experience here has been that the staff treat you well. I have gotten along with both nurses (day & night) as well as the doctor. They answered any and all questions I had, explaining in a way that I understood. We had the goal of getting me back on my feet and I am very grateful for their kind and efficient treatment.by A.
